thats completely normal and probably beneficial to your pond. the rocks on a waterfall actually act as a filter to your pond. They grow bacteria that eats the bad stuff in your pond and keeps your water clean..

You basically cant have natural things in a pond like rocks and logs and not have some algae.

its when you have the algae that makes your pond ugly like the string algae or the green floating algae that makes your water green.. algae on the liner, rocks, or other things is compeltely normal
