No one is going to be seeing what is down under but if one must do this then one will just have to get it over with, do it and then be done w/it all. No harm done doing it or not

Maybe obsessing a bit. I had a irregular bottom, liner not epdm, stiffer material, folds happened, down the road don't even see them.

Yeah you are right I am obsessing (I even have horizontal rebar all around the top row and vertical rebar in a few columns). No sand, gravel, and all that nonsense... I will just fill in some cracks and irregular areas, smooth the corners with mortar and put the darn underlayment and liner combo in place before the rainy season starts. :)

My wife is starting to complain about all the dust generated by this project

Finally, the underlayment and liner are in. Progress!

Could have used that setup today. We moved 2-20 gallon lotus pots from the front of the house down to the goldfish pond. Sliding them down the hill was bad, lifting them into a raised pond was a chore! One more to go!

My lilies that jumped the oil pans weighed enough I had to have a friend help me pull them out.

Roots plus muck = pounds!
