So I was walking down the road, and bam!
something ran into the woods across the road to quick for me to see but it slowled down once half way into the woods, had about a 3 to 4 foot long tail, was brown, and it walked like a
one paw .... one paw... sluggishly and close to the ground almost like a cat, but it wasn't a cat way to tall for a cat.
all the details I have...

Idk know if it was a panther now because the tail was very bushy, they don't have bushy tails?
Then again if I think back. may have not been a "bushy tail" but yet the blurr of it running across the road making it seem blurry?

A pet? Hardly.
About 35 years ago, a friend and I pulled into the parking lot of a lumber store in Brooklin, Ontario. There, in a car parked right in front of the doors, sat the most beautiful cat I have ever seen, arms wrapped around the steering wheel, looking like he was waiting to drive his owner home. A fully-grown but still young cougar! People will try to make pets out of ANYTHING!!!

Had several of those. Yankee Doodle was peeled out of an egg on July 4th. Expected him to die overnight, but first thing in the morning, he was screaming for food. Grew into a beautiful rooster. He loved to be held and have his belly stroked. Dandy was a few weeks younger. Our neighbour (whose eggs they were) thought Yankee should have a buddy. They had the run of the house while we were building. Every time someone picked up a fly swatter, they'd both come running, expecting a treat!
