Another question or 2 about new format

If there are "instructions" somewhere to explain all this, PLEASE direct me there, as I haven't figured it out yet, LOL

WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN....

1. your avatar picture shows up as a tiny thumbnail pic by a post?
2. there is a pair of glasses by a post title?
3. there is a red push-pin [OK, I decided that one was to indicate that the post is a "sticky," but wanted to make sure]?
4. .... there are any other little icons that I haven't mentioned....?

I figured that they have something to do with posts/threads you are following, and/or posts/threads that you've contributed to..... Am I close?

The little avatar pic means you have posted in that thread. We used to have a star now we have our photo.

1. Yup j.w is correct - it means you have posted in that topic. This only shows up on topics which you have posted in since the upgrade though - if you look at old topics that you have posted in a while ago it won't appear. However once we've all been using the new forum software for a while you probably won't notice this unless old topics get dredged back up!
2. The pair of glasses shows that it's a topic you are watching.
3. Yup, the red pushpin shows sticky topics.
4. The only other one I can think of now is the padlock which indicates a locked topic. If I think of any others I'll let you know!

So yes, overall it gives you information about the topic at a glance. Generally speaking if you hover your mouse over the icon it will pop up with what it means, but if you are using your iPad then that isn't an option!
