Anybody plant Marsh Mallow in their bog or pond?

I had seen these plants growing in the wild and ordered some online. Supposed to be a bog plant. They never go over 18" last year. This year I had to tie them up with rope! They are over 6' tall.

They are getting moved to the monarch garden very soon! I'm afraid of what the roots will be like.

Ill stick with water cress as the fast grower so easy to remove no effort needed. but that is crazy at 6 foot and still growing

Think it will be a good plant for the back of the monarch garden. I can tie it to the fence!
