WAYNE SBF1000 BIOFILTER

I see it on ebay as an alternative to the Tetra brand filters. Any thoughts?

pressure filters are never very good the leak they crack and they smell like a sewer even when you back flush them 3 or 4 times a day

For some reason pictures have been taking forever to load on my phone so I didn't see it but I used a pressure filter for 2 years and it was fine for mechanical filtration. I don't think it did much for biological filtration.

Oh nevermid I see there is no picture.

I checked it out on EBAY and that filter is almost identical to the one I used. It would do a decent job but not a great job. I would personally see if you can cram a bit more media in there. Is it worth the $40...? Probably.

I'm looking at it as a possible pre filter ahead of a sand/bob waterfall type finishing/bio system
