Apparently goldfish do eat WL root

Caught them in the act. and pulled up a WL plant to find the normally hairy roots to be looking like pieces of string hanging from the plant. They've been eating the "hairy" bits and leaving the tougher main root.

mine do the same and sometimes I will take the plant out and put it in a tank with miracle grow to grow new roots

That's too bad. Maybe get a floating planter, I have one, and made another with a pool noodle. Now the fish can't eat them.

Hmmm.... How often do you feed your fish? My goldfish prefer the stuff I buy in the store over WL and WH roots. My guess is if they are hungry enough they will eat a lot of stuff but prefer the good tasting food first.

They get fed once daily. I'm not here to feed them more.
