Do the pond plants grow more slowly (or get a later start) than the plants in the ground? We are going to be near 90 here one day this week. All the spring things are done and gone (daffodils, dogwood, azaleas) and we are headed into the early summer stuff -- oakleaf hydrangeas blooming and some gardenias are getting close. As long as there are enough plants and you don't feed the fish a lot it should be awhile before should see any changes .Most bad times are when plants are not growing yet and then people feeding there fish to early
congrats jimmy we remember u bought these guys , i think they survive most in the 1st spawn as there are fewer fishes to eat eggs and water quality is goodView attachment 99119 View attachment 99120 Well congrats..... It must be something about first time ponds...... I have hundreds of these little Koi swimming around the rocks at the base of my waterfall and in all my plant baskets..... Turns out I misnamed Hillary..... But a little worried it's been 5 days since I first spotted them and it still seems to be just as many.....
