Damn, looking so good. I’m jealous of your mature trees. Someone cut down the ones in our yard about 5 years before we arrived.

Thank you! and yes I had to do some root clearing. I had to take down two trees as well. One of them was a nice Japanese maple which was a bit disappointing, but I wanted to stick to all native plants. The mountain laurel I planted is essentially the big showy piece that replaces the Japanese maple, but is native.
