Very pretty neat ideas. I wish we had some hills on our property. It's all flat.

here you see drainage ditches that look like dry creek beds because they are needed to direct water .We have no choice but to protect the property from storm wash outs

Ah, the secret to creek beds is to see how erosion weathers channels, how small debris settles into patterns...

How you carve such elegant curves, skim a coat of cement and stain, colour it would be an interesting artsy challenge... you could brush naptha and turps into bands, spread and stain authentic durable paints...

Ah, the occasional boulder! I have two sizes of rocks around my pond, and never thought of getting anything bigger to stand out. I may have to make some adjustments and see what happens...

The article was good, although brief. The thing that annoys me is that these techniques don't directly apply to us for a couple big reasons... We have to work within the confines of a liner (keeping the water within it while hiding the edges), and we can't simply throw down bark or other decorations along the edge. A ditch washes the loose stuff away, but a pond traps everything.
