DIY Floating Pond Skimmer

Can anyone send me instructions on how to build a simple, inexpensive Pond Skimmer.

The title says floating skimmer is this what you want? I would start with youtube so that you can actually see how one is built. Do you actually have that much stuff floating around that it can't be scooped up? The real benefit, at least for me is the ability to put the pump into something. The skimmer part only helps in the fall. As for a floating one it certainly won't help the pond look good.
