Ducklings doing great

Well the ducklings come back everyday now and leave at night. Yesterday they showed up at 9:30am and left around 6:30pm. It has been such a joy having them here. I watched them diving and catching bugs. I must say our pond has been the best thing we have ever done in our yard and the wildlife really enjoys it.

I love this! If ducklings showed up on my pond I would quit my job and stay home to watch them grow up. I would regret that decision later, but boy would I enjoy those fluffy cuties!

We were on our way home from grocery shopping yesterday. All of a sudden my wife stops. She said she saw a baby duck on the edge of the road. I walk back, just as a couple of young girls stop, too. A car must have hit it, but no visible marks and seemed pretty perky. There was a farm across the road. The girls got a towel, and I picked it up for them. They took it up to the farm. Thinking about it now, it seemed awful big for a baby duck. I wonder if it was a goose.
