This afternoon while feeding the Koi.... Sarah and I counted 10 pair of Dragonflies flittering around the pond.... They were all in pairs and chasing each other around plus a few other suiters trying to get into the action..... So with the Koi being Fruitful and multiplying (40+ babies).... Baby Toad frogs and Tree frogs everywhere..... And I have more Blue Tailed Skink than I ever had before..... Lilies and all plants have done great (beware the water cabbage I have thrown it away by the wheel barrow load) Clear water and consistent good numbers on ammonia and nitrates......I would have to say this first year ponding has been a complete success!!!!!! And we both love it
Also have a big Ole Spider hanging out on my pond wall..... Caught one of my Dragonflies this afternoon

I'm not afraid of spiders but I do hate them. Got bit about a month ago, first day just itchy so I didn't put anything on it, by the end of second day had a dime size infection right at the sock line. That's when I started treating it. Monday I walked thru a web and swatted it down, five minutes later a stinging sensation in right shoulder, obvious to me a bite that I was going to treat right now! Next day, I saw the suspect, not big n black, but stealthy and stripey ready to pounce. Sorry but had to be euthanized. That recent bite is just barely visible now.

nice wording euthanized .:);)
The only creatures that will not leave my area alive is Voles, moles and Copperhead snakes all other creature's I will leave them alone or escort them to another area.... Euthanized is a nice way to say it, but prefer to say "I Dispatched " it has a more "Manly" sound to it

When I lived in Arizona, the black widow spiders did not live ever................ I planted a lot of eucalyptus plants, bushes, trees, found out the black widows leave a yard with them. No more widows!
