Filtering in the Settlement Tank - Thoughts

So the water is getting locked leaving the box filter and going to the vase somehow--- I have water spilling over the side... That is clearly tomorrow's daylight issue.

So with the pre filtering the flow was too much. I adjusted the flow (the pump has a small turning thing that reduces water a bit. Flow now under control. Water is crystal clear except form some tannins.

I found some leaves on bottom and it’s clearing up. I also got some carbon “pads” to cut to add more carbon.

This is rather fun. I’m going to add some more biomaterial. All the fish I couldn’t really see before are starting to really pop with clearer water.
