Fish turned black

Hello,

I have a small goldfish which has slowly turned black, only leaving a little red at the back of the head. It's still acting normally and chases the other fish around the pond. I have not really seen it eating but I assume it is at some point or another. We have treated the pond for parasites and checked everything else. All seems to be okay. And all the other fish are still their normal colour and behaving as normal.

Does anyone have any idea of what this could be or what causes this?

It is common for goldfish to change. Not all do but some get pretty nice patterns.

i've got some which were black and have turned orange, but i've not heard of what yours is doing

I had a yorkie born coal black, turned white as she aged.

any chance of some photes of the fish ? are you sure its a goldfish ? i have never heard of one turning black ...

I've had black ones turn to orange as far as goldfish. Also had a koi loose all it's color and go completely white. But I've never see one turn black.

only thing i can think of is ammonia is high have you tested the water ?
