I have a 2 year pond with a pump and UV lamp and couple baskets of plants and 6 growing goldfish it has clear water. However the last 6 months I've got green fur on sides of polythene sheet in my pond. Is this algae? If so should I try to get rid of it or not? If so how? Thanks for any information.

Sounds like algae. I would leave it as I do in my pond, as long as it is not choking anything off, a nice part of the natural ecosystem. Goldfish will graze on it also if not provided easier food.

Ok brilliant, I'm pleased with that. I was thinking the fish may eat it but wasn't sure myself. Great to have somewhere to ask about pond things 😁
