nice pond and I tried a preformed also for first one and that lasted a year and did my own .We seem to talk about everything on here from ponds to puppy dog tails .We some times loose our focus also in a thread but eventually we get back to the original thread or subject .We have wondering minds .Comes from our pond addiction .

Yep, it does get quite green these days!
2 of these photos are 3 months apart last year, so sometimes having all the plantage around the pond can become a little OTT
:)
Do you guys bother with plants in and around your Koi ponds?
Oh yeah, and sometimes we do get snow too!...............
:)

I have plants like dusty millers and cold hardy palms and some flowers and 2 elephant ears and cannas crowing near my pond but that is all .It is partially above ground.Reason for that as it is very near my covered front porch so I can sit out there and look down at it

All of my plants in and around the pond are dormant still. Just got the last bit of ice melted off of both ponds, so anxious for things to start sprouting and growing. Yes, I think those that are on this forum tend to start with water, then add plants, then fish (or visa versa the last two!) and seems everyone has their own way of landscaping around the ponds, too. Your plants are very large and hardy looking in your pond. I really like the grasses and tall green plants, whatever they are! And, that's a beautiful snowfall. What are your temps and weather like this time of year?
