New Member here from Mississippi. Been lurking for a bit studying up on the DIY filters. Recently finished my first pond but have kept a cichlid aquarium for several years. The pond is a somewhat irregular 10'X15' that is 2.5' deep. It is filtered by a 100g skippy with green matala for the media. Anjon big frog 3000 submersible pump feeds the filter. I have been thinking about adding some of the bird netting on top of the matala to allow more more bio. Any suggestions?

I used some bird netting, plastic fencing, door screen, scrubbies, cut up pvc, ac filter pad.
