Long time lurker, first time posting. I have (well had, more on that in another post) a two 1/2 wine barrel system. Water pumped (thru a filter) from the bottom 1/2 barrel up to a old timey hand pump on the top 1/2 barrel and then down a spillway back to the bottom barrel. Stocked with Shubunkins, Comet goldfish, and some yellow goldfish I inhereted from the neighbor, divided between the 2 barrels. 9 total fish, and 8 or so trapdoor snails. I have had this setup for close to 3 years and have lost very few fish luckily (until last night). Also have water iris and floating plants in the summer. Hopefully sometime in the future I hope to have an inground pond for koi with a waterfall (aiming for 5000g). Slowly accumulating parts off Craigslist. When I am ready, I am sure I will have LOTS of questions.
