I have had a small back yard pond for 6-7 years now. We installed it for a turtle we found in a lake back east, but soon after installing the pond the turtle died! Now it has some fish- goldfish and koi, and plants. We have occasionally had frogs, but they come and go. It is always pleasant to sit next to the pond and watch the fish eat and play. It also attracts lots of birds, as water is not common in the desert here. I hope to hone my pond-keeping skills from info on this site! Thanks for the opportunity.
