Hello, rehabbing pond with no experience.

I have taken out ponds that roots of some of the plants have grown into a rubber liner and had to pull the plant out with my truck and pulled the liner out at the same time .I tried to cut the plant up before that but that was impossible .I wanted to save the liner but it was ruined just trying to get the plant out .Small pond and it was an iris of some sorts( i think cattails also) and took me 5 hours on a pond that was only 6 ft by 8 ft and 3 feet deep .It was in December and even here not fun ,frozen hands and feet and i was left with a mess up piece of liner that I really wanted .Thing was brought it home dumped it off my truck and it still grew into the ground there even with snow on it .I was not HAPPY
