Hi.
I live in the Central Valley in California.
About 7 years ago I put a pond in my backyard and as beautiful as it was, it just wasn't perfect.
This summer I decided to redo it and we did it right. It's ju st over 300 gallons and has 14 fish, 7 Shubunkin, 2 Common, and 5 Fancy goldfish. I planted a Hermine Lily and an Egyptian Blue Lotus as well as two Umbrella Palms.
We started late and I thought for sure that once we solved all the issues it would be too late for the plants to bloom. I was wrong. The weather has been holding just long enough to get one flower from each. A nice tease and now I can't wait until spring.
I have become addicted to taking close up pictures of the flowers around and in the pond as soon as they bloom and my cat and I love to sit on the side and feed the fish.
