How do I open up the Oase 70002 water pump?

Hi everyone,

I have an old Oase 70002 pump that I would like to open up, as it doesn't appear to be working, but I'm not sure how to do it as there aren't any screws to undo. However, there are markings which appear to be designed for a screw driver to pry open, as seen from the photos.

Correction, it's an Oase Aquarium 7000E model. I've managed to prise the cover above off as shown in the attached photos. But I'm now stuck as to how to lift off the fan housing to see why the fan is moving only intermittently. There's three clips holding it in place, but these can't be easily budged without cracking their fragile plastic body.

Try soaking the pump in a bucket of warm water for a few hours. That may loosen it up a bit. You can also try running water from the tap or a hose backwards thru the pump (run the water down the outflow). That should flush out any debris blocking it. How old is the pump? It could be it's just time to replace it.
