depends on the height ,my 2 waterfalls are 2 feet high and right now my harbor freight pump runs 2 filters and is 2150 gph and over 3 years old pond 25 by 10 by 4 feet deep .I usually in the summer run 2 pumps to make more splash in the 1 waterfall area and extra just comes out hose and skims the top of the pond

the height will be 4ft. The pond will be around 14 long, 4 or 5 ft wide and 4 ft deep, but total pvc pipe is 50ft because I want to run a stream

I used sump pump because elbows can cut down on water flow also .Also depends on the size of the pipe or hose .Sump pump hose was 10 dollars/I use it for my stock tanks also

Most pumps will tell you the flow at certain feet of head. If you are only going to run the one pump I'd say anything over 1500 gph will be fine as it will allow the water to be turned over once per hour. I actually only have a 1300 gph pump in mg 1600 gallon pond and it has to push up 5 to 6 feet and I feel like it does ok. My pond stays clear with a little help from my friend UV.

I never owned a uv and pond is in full sun and i think it is due to the plants and grasses in the pond and the outflow pipe that really helps aerate the pond plus I only feed my fish 2 or 3 times a week .it helps
