No the stock tank was just to grow plants and the plant bags hanging (surprise Surprise ) window screening sewn with fishing line

a rock sitting on top of the tail holds them up .I double over the tail so it is stronger

I wanted my plants in my pond and did not have a way to put them in so invented this .It can be adjusted up and down by how much of the tail is under the rock .Thats why the tails should be doubled or tripled up .I double up the bottom too so it is sturdy and double sew everything by hand

You are one talented lady! A Jill of all trades :) Your home is so nice, always something of interest to see. Thanks for sharing. Those plant pockets are a cool idea, just pop in the plant and fill with kitty litter, like little mini filters! Oh I saw something on Facebook that you can make! It;s a piece of weathered board for a sign, and on it says "Garden Of Weeden"

Update on the emerald pond...I can actually see the pre filter and it's sitting on the rock I lost but couldn't see. so 10 days of using the batting worked. Now I'm going to do like sissy suggested and put it in a bigger tote. That will be the extent of my "filter" til I cut the pump off for winter. And the past few days, even did a final rinse to the batting with a little peroxide added. I've learned a lot from this forum, now just have to put it all to good use :) BTW, our temps dropped to the 40's last night, and will again tonight. so better be getting the leaf net made soon...

I had to make a wood template and got all 6 sides cut and got 6 supports cut and then it just got to hard to work moving the lights all around trying to see what I was doing so giving up part of the night and going to cut a paper template for the top and roof now so I can cut out and wood pattern for it and use the one single piece to cut all the rest .Pain trying to cut the sides with just a circular saw .but getting there .

I can use a jig saw pretty good, and have an old dremel, but circular saws scare me, LOL How big are you making it?

I still have the landscape timbers laying in a pile, winter project or cooler weather project to cut them into Sissy's baskets. Going to follow her thread of building them in the diy forum.
They are really dry now lol, pretty wet when I got them.

Oh sissy, I can't wait to see it. I agree with addy, need some winter projects, too. I like working with wood, just haven't done it in a while. I like old rustic looking stuff :)

I have been doing this kind of stuff since I was 10 years old and my first tool was a chainsaw .My father besides the organic 5 acre farm and working at Kentile floor tile had a wood cutting tree trimming business .He even had the luck of going to the Frank Loyd Wright Falling Waters house in PA to help with the restoration and lucky me got to go on several of the occasions .I guess I got more into it when I bought my first fixer upper and started buying tools to do the work myself and learned from the show This Old House .It may take me awhile looking at a pic to figure it out but i can usually get it done .
