Insects are milking my milkweed -- help!

While there may be native ladybugs, the variety sold to gardeners (at least around here) is a Chinese variety. Unlike the native ones, the imports will bite, which is the best way to tell them apart. Be careful what you put in your garden!

wow I didnt know that but I did noticed a biting ladybug and like wtf! But I didnt buy the ladybug. I bought praying mantis....

I bought praying mantis....

When I groom the yard in the fall I watch for all the mantis nests, find tons of them. I cut the stem, branch, piece of grass and move it to where they are safe. I tie them to the new plant. I usually relocate around 20 plus
