Please help!!!
I was cleaning up my small pond.about an hour later I seen 2 of my fish where acting like they were wanting to float on there side. I couldn't figure out what could be wrong then I remembered I didn't wash my arm off before putting my arms in the pond, its small. Could mosquito repellent kill them? I took all the fish out and put them in the big pond in my yard. I have the small one on my porch ive had them since the end of last summer. I cant believe I forgot to wash my arms. Has anyone had this experience?

okay, I'll say it; koi should NOT be in a small container, no matter their size. They grow too large too quickly and can easily overwhelm any filtration. 1000 gallons for the first, 250-500 for the next.

There, Lisa ain't the only one now with a target on her back!!:)

I was responding to your ' I have the small one on my porch' as it's hard to imagine anything substantial (hence, 'container') on a porch. We get a lot of peeps that try and raise koi in a small area and the majority are here to ask 'what happened?' when their fish start dying after doing soooo wellll in the 'small pond'.

Do you really have 2000 gallons on your porch? I'd like to see pics of that...
