The laser one only needs a 1 or 2 inch opening to do the surgery .Amazing what they can do these days .
It sure is, he had long open wounds, bone grafted from his hip, another cut. Took forever to heal up.

Eek that sounds awful! If I do need surgery then I'm hoping that it will be as minimally invasive as possible - we'll just see I guess. Got an appointment with a specialist on Wednesday so it will be nice to find out a bit more about the options.

I had an MRI scan last week and it showed that I've got two discs pressing on nerves, so I'm having an operation tomorrow to fix it! I won't be around for a little while but Ian will be checking in from time to time.

I wish you a speedy recovery, Becky. I know back pain is no fun, I suffered with it for 15 years. All the best,
John

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your best wishes, I know she'll appreciate it!

Becky had the operation yesterday and everything seemed to go well, but she's been in quite a bit of pain today and has low BP, so it may be she has to stay in for a little longer. I'm sure she'll be back on her feet soon though :).
