My pup has torn her ACL

Not a good couple of days. We found out Abbey fully torn her ACL. She will need surgery. I hate when I can't just fix them. She is 9 years old now. It will be a tough go for her for a bit.

Here she is the first week I picked her up.

Best of luck to the robamy family. The amazing thing behind animals is how fast the heal and how the still come up to us with those puppy dog eyes, smiles and love.

poor baby. Hope surgery goes well and that she heals well. My dog had both knees repaired and does pretty well. Long hikes are a thing of the past but a mile or two are still doable.

Not sure yet, still wait for an appt with the surgeon. Hopefully the surgery will be soon.

Sorry to hear that as it's so hard for them and you. They don't understand why you are leaving them and you hate to do it. Hope all goes well for her and she is good as new!

We've been through this with one of our dogs and several rescue fosters. She'll do much better then you think One difficult part is keeping them on restricted activity while healing.
