I'm an American living in the southern Englsh countryside in a small village. We happily inherited a small pond (10x5) when we bought the cottage last year. I've always wanted a pond and am an absolute beginner in pond keeping! Have been studying. Had the pond cleaned and installed a new pump and filter.

Welcome and don't have the pond cleaned again .You are giving the good bacteria away .You are now starting fresh .Do you know the water volume and know what you are wanting from the pond .Fish, plants and such
