Just saying Hi!! Just joined the group, I started off with a small above ground patio pond with 2 goldfish and quickly added another 2, enjoyed for 18 months then made vey small water feature with a few rocks and sunken storage box, mainly to attract frogs threw some pond weed in from main pond and basically left it with tiny water pump for fountain, few weeks later i noticed life in the pond, there was around 25 baby fishes!! There must have been some eggs in the pond weed and life found a way, how they survived I'll never know. I brought them inside over winter and built a new pond during lockdown, half above and half below ground, decided not big enough then went bigger and they are now loving life in the new pond with their parents, I have definitely caught the pond bug, am already thinking of going bigger.
