There will be a remaining build to see. That said for what we need to clean up, no peeking. You will like the result we think.

ph can be stabilized with crushed oyster shells from tractor supply ,they are used for chickens .
I used to pour 100 lbs every spring on to the top of my bog in the spring. It helped bring up the ph and hardness of our very soft very acidic water. Finally stabilized to the point I don't test anymore.

Welcome Brittany!

You really need to get a liquid water quality test kit and post the results here asap.
Algae protects your fish to a point, but too much can be a bad thing.
API makes the best kit that most of us use.

Also pick up a separate KH/GH test kit and let us know the results.

Florida has a bad problem with high phosphate levels in the water. Make sure the master test kit has a phosphate kit included. If a phosphate test isn't included, get one.
Once we have the numerical results from your testing, we can help.
Don't add anything else to your pond for now.

.

Hey guys so my test kit came today here is the numbers.
PH : 7.5
Nitrite : 0 ppm
Ammonia : .25 ppm
Phosphate : .75

I haven’t messed with the water we did a heavy rain on Monday that seemed to clear the water a bit. Here’s today’s pic of the pond
