:goldfish:I started my pond three years ago - one brisk early spring morning I just had some excess energy and began digging a hole for a small pond - on a whim at 6:00AM. I started reading "how-to" articles and was going to buy a small pre-fab and put it in my back yard. BUT... when I started digging, I didn't stop until I had a 18' x 5' x 2-3' deep hole with a 10' waterfall. I had no experience, but at each step of the way I read as much as I could, and I now have a beautiful pond that I absolutely love. Koi, shubunkins, and goldfish that I could watch for hours and the sound of water that is so peaceful I'm transported to another world each time I sit and bask in the tranquility. I love it... now I want it bigger! I'll post pictures when I figure out how.

welcome to the forum, and might i say that that story rings true for many, altho some did put in the little prefab liner for a while, and realized... hey, this aint gonna do it!, its just not big enough, then added on or dug a bigger one. you cut out the b.s. and went straight to the chase... well done.
