I have a pond which is relatively small 2mrts long x 1 mtr wide. I initially had only 2 adult goldfish but one died 2 months ago. However approximately 6 weeks ago I saw a few baby goldfish (about 4) but now I have somewhere in the region of 25 - 27 baby fish. Will they survive in a pond the size I have mentioned, the other surprising development it has 4 baby fish which are black from head to tail ? I never at any time had black fish but only the two adult fish I mentioned, puzzled

No worries on the black goldfish . Black labs when they have puppies they can have brown red yellow white. it is what it is .

i would think 30 small golf fish in a 6' x 3' pond wouldn't be a problem and i may be wrong but it will take a few years for them to get to be 6" and at that time 30 6" fish would be pushing it for sure

@Smiddybar It seems you asked a similar question back in September, but since then, your pond has shrunk by 1/2.

@Smiddybar - have you measured it or are you just guessing? Or is your pond shrinking?
