Hello ALL, i currently have about a 500-550 gal pond where I made my own version of a "Skippy Style" filter (20 gal tub) I had it spill out on a waterfall. Well My waterfall had a leak and i wasn't too keen on it to begin with so i took it down made a new filter. This new one which just drains back to the pond via tubing

My output is a 2 in reduced to 1 in. The tub fills way too fast. (I have a beckett 1150????)

I have 3 options and would like to know your recommendation as to which one is better.

1.Take my output apart and make it 2 in all the way to the pond
2. add another 1 in output (and hope this helps!)
3. Install a valve and reduce the flow coming into the tub (easiest i believe not sure if its better though)

any advice will be greatly appreciated thanks!

I read the post on here where you boil water and you can thin out the pvc to make a sheet of water, i did that on both outputs, pretty happy with it.

I have to do some rock placement but not doing it until a few days when i see that im happy with this setup.
