

Yes indeed but they should be about over. We have had low 40s a handful of times since being outside. I have new plants coming soon but try to nurse what I have if possible.Hyacinths will react to air temperature changes as well - with dramatic water temperature changes like you are reporting, I would have to guess you're getting significant air temp drops as well?

My water temp swings from ~68f (night) to 90+ (heat of the day) Lettuce, and hyacinth seem to be OK.

That's the problem, it's 2' deep at the deepest point. With a large surface area. (Should have made it way deeper)@Bluerooster - how deep is your pond? I'm surprised you get temperature variations that wide - water generally takes longer to heat and/or cool.
