They are gorgeous birds. There's a hunting club near us that clips the wings to make them easier to shoot (don't even get me started) and the sad side effect is they get hit by cars on the highway that bisects the club. I'm not against hunting - just keep it fair!

I’ve seen several males out and about lately too, but I can’t get photos cause A) it’s usually when I’m driving, and B) my phone is my camera, and they never sit still long enough for me to pull over, pull up my camera, zoom in, focus, ... but you did a beautiful job!
