Place to store rocks...

I have to remove my river rocks. Does anyone know of a good way to put the river rocks? If I purchased a ton of lowes buckets, I would have too many buckets!

Suggestions?

How about putting them on a tarp?

Any rocks that I want to save to use later I just store in an empty garden spot on the side of my house. All piled up and just waiting for the right spot to use them in.
The photo below was take in 2014 and the pile is a lot bigger now, oh boy is it bigger, prolly 3ft high and 6ft long but it's outta the way.
