Not sure where to put this but I guess it is essentially "photography" and I did a search for something similar and it came up negative (I can't belive no one has a webcam for their pond, I must have missed something).

Anyway... it has been over a year since I last posted and, apart from winterising and rearranging the plants, I haven't done much with the pond.

Back in January, I installed a small weather station and, since then, I have implemented some (heavily modified) templates to, essentially, add a weather sub-site to a not very well maintained web site and have spent a considerable amount of time adding to that..

Then, inspired by a thread on a weather forum with regard to someone installing a "pond cam", I thought I would do the same. I had a few teething problems, some of which may occur when the sun finally shines again (it has been pretty miserable here the last few days, after a fantastic summer), as for some reason, despite all I have read about the lack of effect the weather has on the type of cam installed (wi-fi IP), when the sun comes up, performance goes down (is almost non-existent) until it sets again.

Anyway, if you are interested, you can see the pond cam directly at http://www.jerbils.info/saratoga/wxpondcam.php or go through the main index for the weather area at http://www.jerbils.info/saratoga/wxindex.php. The main site is actually http://www.jerbils.info.
Lol, it isn't all that interesting (perhaps it will be better when I figure out how to stream) and it is probably the worst time of year to install one as I will probably take it down again soon for winter.

How neat! I have had pond cams, yard cam, underwater cam for a few years now. Love it! Ours is hard wired though, the wifi was too choppy. I leave mine run year round.
lol I have a weather station too! Have had one at every house, I move it from house to house.

Good job!
