Hi All
I’m after some advice I’m looking to put a metal grid across the top of my pond to keep children safe and want to paint it but not sure which paints are safe to use. Can anyone help? Just to add the cover is not going in the water.

Hello and welcome. I see that you are in the UK. I’ve noticed that you guys have a big market for “pond grid covers.” I know, because I have Googled them in the past — I really like the concept, but it’s apparently not a “thing” here in the US. Have you done an internet search? I’m sure that when you find someone who supplies them, they can also advise you on paint or other appropriate finishing.

Oh, I’m not sure other than marine paint that’s used for boats. Or if you want something a bit longer lasting, a coating of marine epoxy.
