Hi very impressive. Could you send pic of your improvised pea gravel filter. I dont quite understand it. I have spent fortune in the 2years i have had pond & very frustrating water still so badly discoloured

This is my system to give you an idea. I have no U.V. filter, no pads, no floss and no chemicals. Water in through the bottom and out the top. Just straight pea gravel.

UV filters work, but again, it's not addressing the "why". And if you have to use it repeatedly, then is it really working? And I always wonder what else it kills in the process.

I believe there’s plenty of good critters meeting their U.V. demise.

Pea gravel i tried that
I have algea on it now i think ill lower the water
Under the gravel maybe half inch or so
