I have been having a blast with my new pond.

I guess I'm going for the rustic look here. I have a eclectic mix of rock and most have just been collected from the fields surrounding my home. So I am making due with what I have available.

It has been a bit of a struggle trying to hide the liner around the edges as I have 1 to 1 1/2 foot overhang. But trying to cover it as best as I can. I still need to finish the edges and add more rock.

The water fall I think will need to be redone. Will probably tackle that project next spring. This is not quite what I was envisioning. I feel it is too big for my pond and I envision something a little more natural looking. What do you think? Of course I think it will look much better once I get the rest of the rocks added and get things planted in there.

I have a 2 lilies I in the pond which I had from last year in my stock tank pond. (divided this spring) I have added several new marginals and 2 new lilies (thanks Country Escape!) So hoping they will get established and get growing soon. Also will be adding a small planting bed on one side of the pond. It is now the new home to 7 comets and 2 shubbies. They love their newly expanded home!

Still work in progress so I will continue to add to this post as I go. Summer is going way to fast and I have much more to accomplish on this pond but enjoying every minute of it. :)
