Hubby gets all the credit for the labor. The bog is on the side of the house.

Let's not go down the green house road! We DO have a green house (18' x 32'), and he keeps trying to talk to me about hydro this and that... The green house is not being used except to season firewood LOL... I have ONE word regarding this subject.... BUDGET... LOL

This is the bog when the water first went in...

and this one is just starting the pvc grid and getting some gravel in...

When we started, we THOUGHT all the rocks we had stashed around the yard would be enough... thought wrong LOL. Still need again what is around the pond, and there are almost none around the bog... although hubby did find a few more rocks for the waterfall I asked for inside of the fish pond. I should start a new tread and post pics.

I saved every rock I dug up for the pond, sorted them out..................they turned to dirt once exposed to air and weather over winter. I call them mush rocks.
Had to buy a bunch, haul a bunch from pa, pick up rocks every where I saw one.

I looked at BUYING some and damn near had a heart attack LOL. $45-60 per ton if loose and you hand pick them/throw into the truck on your own... buying them on a pallet (3' x 3' x 3') are averaging $300... I think we can wait a bit for more rocks, there are so many better things that I could use that money for (more filtration, another quarantine pond, more filtration, more plants, more filitration LOL)... Did I mention more filtration??? (more filtration = more fish LOL)
