My pond is 1650gal or 750ltrs, I have a Pondlab salt tester which I find hard to understand. Could someone please just tell me where on the scale I should be in either grams or ounces. Pond stock is Rudd, Orfe and goldfish.

I will echo the question "why are you adding salt?" but also want to clarify how much volume your pond has - 1650 gallons =/= 750 liters

Years ago I added it for a while, but I haven't used it in long time. Not sure that I've seen a decline in anything without using it. The only things I now add are mosquito dunks and hydrogen peroxide to help control string algae. I now subscribe to the KISS pond principle and it seems to be working :sneaky:

I've already added salt and my reading is 1/2 ounce per gal, will this be safe?.

At that level, it's not a problem but just remember the only way to remove salt is thru water changes. I stopped adding salt to my koi ponds many years ago.

Not a salt user either. But to remember if you pull water from the pond for any reason, salt water will kill vegetation. I often use pond water to water my pots and hanging baskets - salt in the water would not be appreciated.
