Pond turtles

Small turtle sales are illegal in some states due to the possibility of transmitting salmonella to the children who handle them.

I was given a small turtle that had out grown its bowl. I put it into my pond and it proceeded to eat my goldfish. Lesson learned!

Another thing to consider is that turtles will introduce bacteria.

A pond makes a good habitat for turtles. Not some little glass bowl with rotting food floating around it. :bowdown:

Think of ponds as turtle rescue shelters.:wink:
