Hi, I posted last week but pics not great. Managed to get a better one and I now have another fish looking like it might be starting with something similar. Anyone any advice?

@leegmac Have you ever told us how many gallons is your pond? Also, how many koi do you have in there, and what sizes are they?

How long was your pond up and running before you added the koi?

It’s worrisome that you’ve been posting about water quality issues, as well as a sick fish. Did you ever test your water for ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, pH, KH, and GH? If not, please do that and get back with the results — number results, not “OK” or “fine.”

Have you done anything at all to treat your fish, medications, water changes, etc?

I do not know what it is called but i believe your fighting two issues the round circles and the pealing skin / scales on the first fish i had the same issues this year i treated for three things gill flukes. Also treated with proform c , and i gave the pealing scales and lathargic fish a bacterial dip. i lost one fish but almost two months latter everyone else is healing well. The proform c it is crucial you have a very close estiomate of how many gallons you have

If I were you I'd post this question and pictures on koiphen.com. Their forum is strictly koi and they have a wealth of information on koi illnesses and treatments.

Proform C, malachite green , as well as other treatments, are good treatments if you know what to use them for.
