I hope you all enjoyed my creative title. (y)

I've been thinking about finally upgrading my pump. I'm wondering if you all have any recommendations or suggestions. My pond is roughly 800 gallons so I'm looking for one that is at least 1000gph, more would be fine. I definitely want to stay under $100. I'll need to be able to split the exit because I have one hose going to my bog and another to my waterfall. Any good brands/models I should consider?

How wide is your waterfall? For a decent display, you need minimum 100 gph for each inch of width. This will give you about 1/4' deep water flowing over the waterfall edge. 1000 gph may be too small for your needs.

Great way to describe the gph needed. I have approximate 60 inches of run off and use 2 pumps going into the stream. 1800gph and 4700gph going thru it. When I have just the 1800 running it has very little flow.

I really like the Pondmaster 1800gph models. I have 2 of them, they are like little tanks. I do not use the prefilter they come with. I use the Matala EZ-Bio 20 Double Core with them

Looks like they are $134.00 here with free shipping

Remember head height also .I use laguna as it uses less wattage to run .You can look on ebay for some bargains on pumps and there are lots of places right now offering money off .I got stuff at pet solutions 15% off and dr foster and smith are offering money off .Laguna also has a 4 year warranty .I bought mine from country fish girl and webbs on ebay .

Right now I use a 650gph going to the waterfall and bog. Around 65-70% goes to the waterfall and its nearly perfect, could be boosted just a little. My waterfall is small and I'm not looking for anything too powerful or loud, I just like a nice trickle over.

The upgrade in gph is just to accommodate for my 800g pond.

I hate to say it but I think pumps don't pump as much as they used too .I think they do that so you have to spend more money on a higher gph pump .My harbor freight one used to do both my waterfall filters and extra was just a hose in the pond .It was a 2150 gph pump and used 175 watts .My neighbor has it and she loves it .I thought it was having issues but her hubby cleaned it out and got it working better than ever .

So, I continue to look for a pump and notice most don't have a splitter that I'd need to connect two hoses to, and I'm wondering what I can do about that. I need it to pump to my bog and my waterfall, and need to be able to control how much it pumps to each. Anyone know what to do?

I have a 3 way splitter for 1 of my laguna pumps but it is 1 1 1/4 inch and I need a 1 1/2 inch .You just put a short piece of hose from your pump to the adapter .I had to do this for the other one .No glue just hammered tight together and I have not had it come apart in a year and also had it on my old pond

I would say the Pond Master 950gph would be a perfect pump for you, they are well made, Have a pre-screen-pre-filter (not the foam one you have to clean all the time) and come with a 5 year warranty I believe and you can get them online for less than $100.

As far as the "T" off, what size Hose do you run?

Depends on how many watts of power and how much head height they give .I always look at both and add a little extra gph just in case .You can never have to much but you can have to little .Like me I thought for my second pump I could use a 1000 or 1500 gph and ended up buying a 2400 gph laguna and glad i did .I have the 2900 gph also .Well actually I bought a 2000 gph but they sent me the 2400 gph because they did not have enough stock and they hoped it was OK and it was better than OK it was perfect

This is what I use by Oase. It works now for the corrugated tubing I'm using, but once I convert to FLEX PVC, this type won't work.

Yeah I like the inline ball valve. Mine looks the same without the ball valve... Now I'm jealous. I do have 2 large bore snap on attachments though that allow me to run a larger bore tubing.
