I want to buy the same 55w sterilizer I have for my other pump, but that one came with a pump and I have no idea what size it is so I'm trying to figure out what size pump works the best with this 55w uv

I read this:
  • "Up to 8800 Gallon Pond, Max Flat Rate: 5000 GPH"
Does it mean it should be used with a pump no larger than a 5000gph?

How much different is a 36w from a 55w? they both say for ponds up to 8000gl

I believe that's what it means...but I could be wrong - ha ha! You don't want the water to move too fast part the UV, as it's greatly reduces it efficacy.

I was thinking a pump around 500gph would work, I hope I'm right!
