Hi there.
I noticed this morning that there is a brownish film on my waterfall rocks and a slight tint of brown on some of the rocks around the pond edge.
When I rub the rock the film comes off easily. There is also some green algae starting to take hold on the liner and some rocks.
All water measurements are within normal limits.
Is this normal? I am assuming that since the water levels are okay and the pond has been running for 4 weeks now, that this is the result of my pond cycling and the ecosystem is starting to work.
Can anyone verify this? Or should I be concerned?
Personally, I like the way the algae and brown stuff is looking. It's making the pond look older than it actually is-which is what I want to accomplish.
