Question. Would trout be compatible with coy?

Yes, but depending on your location and pond size can you keep the water cool enough for trout. From my understanding they dont do well when the water warms up.

4 and a half foot deep, 1500 gal fish pond with continue waterfall.

The pond is 20 foot x 4 foot and 4 1/2 foot deep.

I live outside of st louis MO

No experience on keeping trout, but it looks like there used to be a user on this forum @Troutredds who was keeping trout with their koi with great success. I read older posts from this person and they seemed quite knowledge on the topic and had a beautiful pond. You could always search their older posts to find the information your looking for.

Let me be the one to state the obvious - at 1500 gallons, your pond is big enough for just a few big fish. If you're keeping koi, one piece of standard wisdom says 1000 gallons for the first fish; 500 for each additional. I'll let you do the math.

We did visit a pond once that had once had trout. The owner said - in his pond - they had too many hiding places and he rarely saw them. So he went back to keeping pond fish. I think there's a reason why they're so popular in ponds!
